AGA Arts
AGA Arts — Life Drawing

How does it work?

Gesture sessions. The model poses for a series of different short poses ranging from 1–25 minutes. We work in 30-minute “blocks” and take breaks in between. Expect to complete up to 30 drawings. Focus on movement and skill development.

Sustained pose sessions. The model maintains the same pose for the duration of the session (with breaks, of course!). This is an opportunity to work on a single, developed piece or even a painting. Sometimes we repeat a pose on separate dates to allow for extra working time — check the schedule!

Sessions are uninstructed.

What should I bring?

Your own drawing materials (charcoal, pencils, paints, etc.) and surfaces.

We provide: boards, clips, easels, chairs, and drawing horses. Newsprint paper pads are available on site for $5.

Please note that all gear and spots are first come, first served, so we encourage attendees to arrive early to set up. Doors open 30 minutes before the session start time. We begin promptly at the specified time, however latecomers are welcome.

Who can attend?

Everyone! If you’re nervous, inexperienced, or unsure of how to set up, please let us know when you arrive and we’re happy to help you.

However, please note that all nude sessions are 18+ only (no exceptions).

For our Outdoor Live Music events, anyone is welcome to come watch, hang out, and enjoy the ambiance. The $25 fee applies if you’d like to draw and participate.

How do I pay?
